Congregate Meals – KVSS provides senior nutrition meals at various locations throughout Kanawha County. This program is operated under a Federal Grant for persons over the age of 60. This grant does not cover the cost of the meal so we encourage the suggested donation to keep the program in operation. Suggested donations start at $2.00 per meal.
Those who attend and are under 60 years of age, as a guest of a senior, caregiver, friend or visitor, are required to pay $6.00 per meal at one of the congregate group nutrition sites. We encourage and welcome seniors over the age of 60 to visit and join us for a nutritious meal.
Home Delivered Meals, – KVSS may provide home delivered meals for seniors 60 and up who are homebound AND living alone. The meals require an in-home assessment by one of our Social Service Representatives and a physician’s order. Contact KVSS at (304)348-0707 to speak with a representative to see if you may qualify. Federal Guidelines apply to this program.
