History and Mission – Kanawha Valley Senior Services, Inc., (KVSS) is a non-profit organization created in the early 1970’s to provide programs of service to seniors age 60 and up in the Kanawha Valley. Our mission is to Help Seniors Age Successfully.
Funding – Kanawha Valley Senior Services is funded through the Bureau of Senior Services, Metro Area on Aging, Kanawha County Commission, Untied Way of Central WV, City of Charleston, The Pallotine Foundation, Meals on Wheels, WV Division of Public Transit, and private donations from members and friends.
Board of Directors – The Board of Directors has governed the management and resources of KVSS since inception. Together we work to promote the well-being and best interests of the seniors in Kanawha County.
Kanawha Valley Senior Services Board of Directors meet on the 4th Wednesday of every month and are open to the public. Any guest who wishes to speak during a Board Meeting must contact the Board President, or Executive Director in advance and must be listed on the agenda with a brief description of the topic they wish to discuss.
